Are you ready for our new season of theatre, art and film?

Since April, we have welcomed over 350,000 of you through our doors. Now, brace yourselves for a fantastic new season of film, art, theatre and more.

Season highlights include:

  • Director Blanche McIntyre’s bold re-imagining of The Oresteia in a 90 minute translation by Ted Hughes (with the cast playing multiple roles across genders and featuring a 50+ local community volunteer chorus)
  • A great adventure for Christmas with the UK première of Inkheart, adapted from award-winning author Cornelia Funke’s best-selling fantasy novel for children
  • A new, dance-infused version of Shakespeare’s popular supernatural tragedy Macbeth, reuniting director Carrie Cracknell and choreographer Lucy Guerin and starring Anna Maxwell Martin and John Heffernan
  • n epic large-scale performance at Old Granada Studios from leading experimental theatre company Quarantine, HOME’s Associate Company, who will present the world première of Summer. Autumn. Winter. Spring.
  • A visit by internationally acclaimed artist Philippe Quesne, who premières his stunning, witty and ground-breaking masterpiece La Mélancolie des Dragons
  • A major group exhibition of new commissions in moving image, sculpture, print and performance based on Todd Haynes’ influential masterpiece Safe
  • The world première of Incidents of Travel in the Multiverse, critically acclaimed artist duo AL and AL’s new multimedia production including film, drawing, installation and live concert hall performance with music by Philip Glass
  • The return of world-class dance group Hofesh Shechter Company presenting their completed trilogy Barbarians
  • The latest in the Music & Film series, pairing Mercury-nominated GoGo Penguin with Godfrey Reggio’s beautiful visual poem Koyaanisqatsi
  • An exciting mix of cleverly curated film seasons including James Benning: People and Places, Jim Allen: Still Relevant After All These Years, and From Caligari to Hitler: Weimar Cinema.

Our new season also introduces a great family programme, with a big family day taking place on Sun 13 Dec when we will throw open our doors to families, inviting them to take part in creative workshops, films and events with special guests – alongside regular monthly family film and theatre performances. The family day will feature a special book-signing event with Inkheart author Cornelia Funke.
