NHS staff. How are you? (No really, how are you?)

‘How can we work together - young people and health workers, who are both being let down?’

It can be hard for young people being failed by the mental health system, but at the Balmy Army we know that system is also failing those that work in mental health too.

We hear it all the time from CAMHS staff, youth workers and all the other brilliant adults out there trying their best to support young people. As one NHS worker told us ‘I wish i could do more, but I don’t have the resources and time. I know I’m failing young people, it makes me angry too. So I totally get why young people are pissed off”.

SO the Balmy Army want to check in with you workers? ‘How are you? No really, how are you?’

People working in young people’s mental health, we’d love for you to come to our action lab, for a special performance by Balmy Army facilitator Cara followed by a space to be together and share our frustrations and successes, on how workers can support young people to imagine and change mental health support.
