Manchester Open 2024: AD Tour With Anne Hornsby

Taking place every two years, the Open Exhibition is the biggest celebration of Greater Manchester’s creative talent. This year the HOME gallery will be filled with 480 artworks created by YOU, the people of Greater Manchester, and then selected by a panel of art experts and community representatives.

Open to all, those who already identify as artists and those who don’t, the Manchester Open brings together artwork including paintings, prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics, digital and mixed media, video, audio, and more.

Anne will be joined by members of the HOME team who were integral to ensuring Manchester Open’s legacy continues to grow. The Manchester Open is a unique event that requires a cross-department approach. So each member will guide you through their favorite work in the exhibition

This event is FREE, tickets are limited so booking is essential.

TIME:

• 11:00am – Meet and Greet at HOME Box Office, then you will be invited to join us in the Gallery
• 11:15-12:30pm – Guided interactive tour of the exhibition Manchester Open

ABOUT THE TOUR GUIDE:

• Anne is the founder of Mind’s Eye – the UK’s Pioneering and award-winning audio description service.
• Anne has experience describing for drama, opera, ballet, museums and galleries.
• Mind’s Eye now has a team of highly qualified professionals

Please note this tour is designed for visually impaired people, and the Gallery will be closed to the general public at this time.
