Join Kate O'Donnell for a tour of the Manchester Open. In celebration of LGBT History Month, Kate will spotlight trans history and celebration, offering unique insights into the artworks on display.

About Kate O’Donnell
Kate O’Donnell founded Trans Creative in 2016 with the tagline ‘telling our own stories’ and in 2017 she created Manchester’s first trans arts festival ‘Trans Vegas’ which has platformed over 400 trans artists.

Her theatre work includes; the award-winning “Big Girl’s Blouse” & acclaimed one woman show ‘You’ve Changed’. She played Feste in Twelfth Night, Electra in Gypsy and performed in Russell T Davies’ Christmas Star (all at Royal Exchange Theatre), Adventures in Time & Gender (2020), Herstory Project (Brighton Festival 2021). Sunset Boulevard ( Royal Albert Hall 2021).

Kate directed ‘Transpose’ and ‘Not Dying’, both at the Barbican. She curates and hosts Manchester Pride’s HIV Vigil and the Manchester Pride 2023 saw ‘Trans Filth and Joy’ open the festival to 3000 people and support Christine and the Queens at Meltdown Festival at the Southbank Centre.
