At the end of the 70s, Yan María Castro became one of the founders of the first lesbian organization in Mexico. In a context of discrimination and repression, Yan María and her companions organized a political movement to achieve public visibility and win their place in society.

Born in Mexico City on March 13, 1989, Tatiana Claudia Castillo studied at the Mexican Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, and then at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in Lisbon, Portugal. Her film Primavera was selected as one of the twenty best Mexican shorts of 2015 by the Shorts México film festival. She is the founder and active member of the collective Frente Autónomo Audiovisual / Imágenes en Rebeldía where she works as a director and editor of different audiovisual works and documentary short films.
