Jazz on Film 2016

In collaboration with Manchester Jazz Festival we present Jazz on Film, a series of films that present a visual and audio snapshot of the interaction between jazz and cinema.

Including documentaries, biopics and films celebrated for their use of jazz related scores, the season highlights include Louis Malle’s Lift to the Scaffold with its mournful Miles Davis score and Bertrand Tavernier’s superlative ‘Round Midnight, featuring, amongst others, Dexter Gordon. We also herald the return of the Tubby Hayes doc, Man in a Hurry, a HOME sell-out when it was shown in 2015.

Based on a concept by Ehsan Khoshbakht.
