Hong Kong: City on a Precipice

Directed by Jervis Suen, Kong Khong Chang, Tsang Tsui Shan & Sookoon Ang

A programme of award-winning documentary and experimental films, video and moving image works straight from the shores of Hong Kong. An array of issues will be examined all focused around Hong Kong’s colonial history and ranging from migration, personal histories, political climate and economy, to reportage and the mainstream media. Selected films, will include Tsang Tsui Shan’s Lonely Planet, Sookoon Ang’s Shanghai avant la pluie, Jervis Suen’s The 8th, and Kong Khong Chang’s Name of Wu Mei.
