People’s Plan for Nature

Nature is vital - it provides the food we eat and the air we breathe. Together we can protect and restore it and make UK nature something to be proud of. Join the UK’s biggest conversation about the future of nature and make your voice matter.

Who has organised this display?
This project is run by a coalition of nature and conservation charities- including WWF, the RSPB and the National Trust. These trees will be on display up and down the country.

What is the purpose of the trees?
The People’s Plan for Nature is the biggest ever conversation about the future of nature in the UK. The nature crisis affects everyone, so everyone should have say in how we solve it. We are asking you to let us know what you love about nature in the UK. If you’d like to continue the journey, on the website you can also share what you think what needs to change or happen to make nature thrive in the future and any examples of projects or organisations working to protect and restore nature. Please scan the QR code ( found on the poster and postcard) or go to to peoplesplanfornature.org to do this.

What do I need to do?
Write your ideas down on the Idea Leaves and hang them from the tree or post them in the postbox.
You can also take a photo of what you’ve written on social media using the hashtag #PeoplesPlanForNature.

Our sustainability programme is supported by Shire Leasing.

You can find the People’s Plan for Nature tree in the foyer by the main gallery entrance at HOME.
