Fiona Curran’s subject matter and motifs within her painting practice have developed from archival research into historic collections of wallpapers and textiles. Focusing on the theme of social and psychological space through an interest in pattern, repetition and landscape imagery, her work seeks an engagement with (a possibly a corruption of) painting through the use of the decorative. In her exhibition, Curran will present new site-specific work in the bar, while the cafe will show previously unseen work.
