In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue – A poetry performance in response to the film Moonlight

Moonlight is a coming-of-age story in three acts, chronicling the life of a young man, Chiron, from childhood to adulthood, in a rough Miami neighbourhood across the late 80’s and early 90’s. It is a ground-breaking and universal story about who you choose to be, versus who you are.

Following the screening of Moonlight at 18:00 on Thu 16 Feb, join us in the bar where Inna Voice and Young Identity will perform poetry that explores issues such as black male masculinity, familial relationships and how society can shape your identity. The performance will last approximately half an hour.
