Due to the coronavirus outbreak, HOME is temporarily closed and Young Identity workshops will no longer be taking place here.
We do not know yet how long this closure will last, but this will be at least until the end of March 2020.

The management team at Young Identity and their chair Joe Earle have said they will continue workshops provision and events via Zoom and other online platforms.
Calling all aspiring writers, poets and spoken word artists aged 15-25. Whether you’re already penning your own poetry or just fancy giving it a go we’ve got the perfect opportunity for you to work with Manchester’s premiere youth spoken word project, Young Identity.
Young Identity at HOME now meets every Monday and the team will deliver spoken word workshops inspired by HOME’s artistic programme. Workshops will take place from 19:00-21:00 and are open to all young people aged 15-25.
Led by outstanding facilitators, versatile poets and established spoken word performers from Young Identity, you will get the chance to respond to the evocative films, theatre and art exhibitions at HOME, through a dynamic spoken word programme.

HOME are excited to announce that Young Identity are to become the arts venue’s Resident Artists. Young Identity have a long history of delivering dynamic poetry and spoken word workshops for young people at HOME, Contact and at events across Manchester. As Resident Artists, the group will create more work created in response to HOME’s programme of film, theatre and visual art.
