HOME’s Young Film Programmers Project 2021

HOME Young Film Programmers is an 18 month project for 18-25 year olds who programme quarterly screenings at HOME with the aim to broaden and diversify HOME’s young audiences.

During the project the group not only develop skills in how to curate a fresh and exciting programme of screenings and wrap-around activity, they also gain industry skills and learn all the ins and outs of the profession. This includes wider cinema exhibition, targeting and marketing film campaigns at specific audiences, creating marketing content, social media support, writing copy for target audiences, film reviewing and podcasting and developing skills in events producing and delivery.

They are a talented bunch with many other skills they are already bringing to the project- Lily Callaghan and Jorge Walsh have already been featured on October’s HOME film podcast, and the rest of the group have been using their skills in visual art and graphic design- Meltem Yalcin has designed a fantastic original poster for In The Mouth of Madness, and Iqra Noman has designed a fabulous, fresh new logo for the team (see below)!
