1 night. 3 emotionally-rich and diverse performances.
Join us this December for a celebratory night of live music as three Black artists from across the North West take over Theatre 1 to perform back-to-back performances.
Taking to the stage with her full band will be multi-faceted vocal artist Yemi Bolatiwa. The London-born soul singer is a frequent face of Manchester’s live music scene and was recently played on Radio 1 with performances on BBC Introducing Manchester and BBC 1Xtra. As a live act, she writes and performs tracks with RnB melodies, deep soulful vox over Hip-hop, DnB & Garage inspired grooves.

SheBeKeke (Keisha Thompson) likes to turn her poems into songs. Not all words can live on the page. Someone called her sound “gospel folk” once but she isn’t too sure if she agrees. She has supported artists such as Kae Tempest, The Last Poets, Saul Williams and OSHUN. Her work has been presented at high profile venues and platforms such as Tate Modern, bluedot Festival and Glastonbury’s Rum Shack Stage.
