To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the HOME Artist Film Weekender we will be bringing together an all-female programme of screenings, poetry, talks and discussions. From Beatrice Gibson’s exploration of motherhood and feminism in the wake of Brexit and Trump to the hunger for power in Ulrike Ottinger’s surreal and outlandish history of the world in Freak Orlando, this year’s programme observes the world through the eyes of pioneering female filmmakers to coincide with HOME’s year-long Women in Global Cinema programme.
The opening night will feature both local and international artists and be hosted at Paradise Works in Salford on Thu 28 Nov at 18.00.
Curated by Alice Wilde and Jamie Allan.
