GROW YOUR OWN cast and crew Q&A

We are pleased to welcome co writers Frank Cottrell Boyce and Carl Hunter (who is also a co-producer of the film) for a Q&A after the screening of GROW YOUR OWN.

Frank Cottrell Boyce is one of the most respected screenwriters working in the British film industry. He has collaborated with director Michael Winterbottom on Forget About Me (1990), Butterfly Kiss (1995), Welcome to Sarajevo (1997), The Claim (2000), 24 Hour Party People (2002), Code 46 (2003), and A Cock and Bull Story (2005). Boyce has also collaborated with Anand Tucker on Hilary and Jackie, Danny Boyle on Millions (2004) and Alex Cox on Revenger’s Tragedy (2002).

Carl Hunter worked as a freelance designer specialised in record sleeve design for a number of years. He ran an independent record label based in Liverpool, primarily to release records for local band The Farm, of which he is a member. He designed all the packaging for the Farm and won two sleeve design awards for ‘Spartacus’ and ‘Love See No Colour’. He recently had a photographic exhibition in Cologne.

Carl has been producing and directing documentaries, short films and promos for ten years. Carl and his partner Clare, made a documentary series for Channel 4 about a refugee project called The Family Refugee Support Project based in Liverpool. This project was then developed into the feature film, Grow Your Own. Carl is currently developing two other films with Frank Cottrell Boyce. They wish to develop a production company based in Liverpool that encourages local talent.
