Afrocats youth respond to the Horizons Festival theme of #We Cannot Walk Alone through creative movement and poetry created during lockdown. Filmed in Whitworth Park by Leah Olwen Llewelyn and co-created by the young people with dance artist, Maya Marsh and spoken word artist Keisha Thompson, this moving performance picks up on the relevance of the 1960s US civil rights leader Martin Luther King’s I have a Dream Speech to young people today. This dynamic performance from Afrocats’ Youth of the World programme showcases the creative expression and talents of young people from the Manchester’s new migrant communities
