HOME Announces Future 20 project

Following the success of 2017’s Project X collective and the resulting building-wide event This is Human, we’re looking for a collective of questioners, doers, makers and agitators ready to take creative action to help shape a cultural landscape that we all want to be part of. Future 20 is our second, year-long artist residency and training programme for emerging artists aged 18 – 25.

Next year marks two decades of 21st century living, and as cultural organisations across the country declare a climate emergency, Future 20 asks a new group of creatives to consider ‘what use is being ready for the future, if the future isn’t a place we want to head toward?’

Through research, mentoring, professional development and leadership training, the collective’s work will culminate in a large-scale public event in and around HOME, in August 2020. The programme will also equip the artists with the skills, knowledge, resources and expertise they need to lead this innovative project and cultivate a viable career in the arts.

No previous experience is required, and the deadline for application is Monday 1 July – for more information, please click here.
