A brand new funding and support programme for UK-based artists, designed to help them develop their art by using immersive technologies. Artists at all levels of experience are invited to apply, to explore, experiment or expand how they work with this exciting field of practice.

Factory International Fellowship
Deadline: Mon 9 Dec
An opportunity for six artists based in the North to scale up their ambition through gaining insight into how Aviva Studios and Manchester International Festival make work. Includes bursary, mentoring opportunities, coaching, observational placements, peer-to-peer learning and access to Factory International teams.
Film Generator: Directors
Deadline Wed 11 Dec
A new programme that seeks to support early-stage directors in the North to experiment, find their voice, and develop as storytellers. Directors are invited to pitch to work with a selection of 4 films developed in the first stage of Generator. Selected directors will have group sessions with industry guests and one-to-one mentoring with Film Hub North Talent Executives
South Asian Artist Takeover
Deadline: Mon 16 Dec
In May 2025, Aviva Studios will hand over the keys to their South Warehouse space for use by a South Asian artist or collective that wants to explore working at an epic scale, experiment, and play. Includes a budget of £10000, decicated production manager and networking opportunities. Open to South Asian artists from any discipline based in the North of England, who have a minimum of five years of professional practice.
BBC Small Indie Fund
Deadline Tue 31 Dec
The Small Indie Fund ring-fences £1million a year to back talented small independent production companies with turnovers of less than £10million, with a special focus on diverse-led companies and those based outside of London. Available to companies working across factual, entertainment, comedy, children’s, drama, daytime and film. Successful indies receive investment to help them develop and BBC mentors.

The Creative Well

The Performers’ Playground 7 week programme for creative of all backgrounds to delve into their creativity in a non-performance environment and to see the benefits of building creative habits such as movement, free writing, breath work and image streaming.
