MY STORIES, YOUR EMAILS, BY URSULA MARTINEZ

Commissioned by barbicanbite10, London and Queer Up North International Festival.

UK PREMIERE
Iconoclastic performer Ursula Martinez’s new show, My Stories, Your Emails continues the Queer Up North International Festival at the Library Theatre, between Wednesday 13 – Saturday 16 May. Ursula, who first appeared at the queerupnorth festival in 1999, devised the show from some of the hundreds of email messages she receives from her many fans across the world. The messages are funny, lonely, charming, surreal, rude, hilarious, and extraordinary – and they all tell Ursula something about herself.

This one-hour genre-busting performance combines stand-up, live-art, character comedy and spoken word, and is co-commissioned by the Queer Up North International Festival and the Barbican, London. The show is directed by Mark Whitelaw, who for many years worked at the Green Room in Manchester.
