The Thwarting of Baron Bolligrew

Sir Oblong Fitzoblong, a highely unlikely knight-errant is sent by his duke to fight the black dragon with red eyes which lives on the Bolligrew Island- ruled over by the bold bad baron Bolligrew and his henchmen Squire Blackheart.
After making friends with Magpie and Badger, and defying the magician Moloch in a display of magic, we end with an exciting confrontation with the dragon and Baron Bolligrew’s  ” conversation”.
This play by robert Bolt, who wrote “A Man For All Seasons”, “The tiger and the Horse”, and the screenplay for the pricewinning film of “Lawrance of Arabia”, is cartain to take place among the great childrens classics, whose hallmark it seems to be that adults are no less enthusiastic in their addiction then the children.
