Princess Sharon

The Scarlet Theatre

St in a fairy tale world peopled by monstrous characters, Princess Sharon is an adaptation of Gombrowicz’s ‘Princess Ivona’. Sharon is unusually unlovable, however, something extreamly unlikely has just happened – the Prince (whilst having an existential crisis) has asked for her hand in marriage. Sharon’s not good looking – but her luck’s in. Or has it just run out?
In a style that minimises the spoken word and combines adsurd humour with precise choreography, nine actors portray a silly tale with a serious edge. Â
