Box of Tricks presents

PlayBox Takeover: Too Much World At Once by Billie Collins

A rehearsed reading of PlayBox writer Billie Collins’ new play written during her year-long attachment with Box of Tricks as part of their day-long takeover. On his fifteenth birthday, Noble transforms into a bird. His sister Cleo is thousands of miles away. A play about home, and what happens when it spits us out.

Billie is a playwright and screenwriter from Merseyside. Her first play, Spiders, was longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize in 2015, and she has written several other plays and short films, including Skin, which was selected for online showcase by Channel 4’s Random Acts.

PlayBox is a year-long writer-on-attachment programme with Box of Tricks offering bespoke residencies and support to three early career North West playwrights.

Box of Tricks is a Manchester-based theatre company that champions the next generation of playwrights, producing top quality new plays on local and national stages.
