James Monaghan presents

Forest

Have you ever consumed something out of compulsion? Is guilt part of why you like it? James once ate several battered Mars Bars in succession.

Pornhub’s highest spike is at 9.30am. Who’s watching porn at work? James bets if he asked that question in a room full of strangers – no one.

Don’t worry, this show doesn’t do that. It does however invite you to help him come to a climax… theatrically that is. This is a show about addiction, sex, relationships, disconnect and the contradictions of being human. This is a show about fantasy becoming reality.

Forest has been developed by James Monaghan with support from HOME, Arts Council England, Lancaster Arts, University of Salford and The Men’s Room.

With contributions from Richard Gregory, Sonia Hughes, Kate Daley, Ali Wilson, Sara Jaspan and Richard Morgan.

Please note this performance is not seated, although seats will be available for those who require them.

“Uncomfortable encounters usually don’t end once you’re free of them and I’ve been re-experiencing Forest in my mind since I collected my coat.” – The Manchester Review

“Tricky, audacious and intriguing, Forest is an exhilarating experience. A stepping out of the head. An attempt to connect. A coming together.” – Circles & Stalls
