Double Bill: Gutted & Late Night Love

Gutted

“If you’re concerned, just talk to a member of our staff or, alternatively, swing your legs over the edge of the bed and walk out, remembering to pull the camera from your bum before leaving the hospital.”

Liz has got an embarrassing problem and these Activia yogurts aren’t helping. Her body’s acting up. In a bold new show, The Conker Group and HOME present this shameless tale of love, laughter and lavatories.

Inviting you on a journey of frank confessions, colourful characters and too much brown sauce, Gutted is based on solo performer Liz Richardson’s real life experiences as a twenty-something living with Ulcerative Colitis (similar to Crohn’s).

Co-produced by The Conker Group and HOME. Supported by The Wellcome Trust People’s Award, IA: The Ileostomy & Internal Pouch Support Group, and Arts Council England.

Late Night Love

Somewhere in the static between radio stations, Eggs Collective present Late Night Love, a tender and ridiculous show that clambers up your drainpipe with a rose between its teeth.

Inspired by the confessional radio show of the same name, Late Night Love is an unflinching attempt to unpick the truth from the fiction of chocolate boxes and untangle expectations of adulthood from the promise of power ballads.

Raw-edged and warm-hearted, tune in to Late Night Love, where teenage crushes wrangle with the reality of romance, saxophones cry and secrets crackle from radios in the dark.

On Sun 22 May, don’t miss our free premiere screening of Queer as Yolk: Redux, Richard DeDomenici and Eggs Collective’s shot-for-shot remake of the Mancunian classic, Queer as Folk.
