Rash Dash presents

Don’t Go Back To Sleep: The Lockdown Album

A live verbatim album documenting everyday human experiences of lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic, in Britain and beyond.

RashDash give voice to 18 people around the world – a mother in Milan, a professor in Britain , a student in China, a filmmaker in Kenya – sampling interviews and weaving text from transcripts into songs to shine a light on the personal and political, the anxieties, realisations, and moments of joy when we find ourselves confined to our own homes.

The experience of living completely on your own and not seeing anyone for months, of trying to social distance while living in a crowded slum, of trusting your government, of despairing in your government, of what we dream about doing when we have freedom again and how we make the most of the world stopping for a moment.

A time to reflect on the past six months, and our place in the world, to a banging musical soundtrack.

Don’t Go Back To Sleep: The Lockdown Album is available to listen to in advance of this live show, click on the Spotify playlist below:

About RashDash
RashDash is Abbi Greenland, Becky Wilkie and Helen Goalen. They are a company of performers, musicians and makers. They work with music, dance and theatre because they believe this can speak to an audience in the most rich, delicious, complex way. They make radical, often feminist work, that speaks to the feeling body as well as the thinking brain. Recent projects include THREE SISTERS (co-production with Royal Exchange Theatre, co-commissioned by The Yard, Tobacco Factory Theatres, The Old Vic, MAYK and Cambridge Junction), THE DARKEST CORNERS (a large scale, outdoor, headphone show for Transform Festival 2017), TWO MAN SHOW (made with Northern Stage and Soho Theatre, Fringe First Winner 2016), SNOW WHITE & ROSE RED (a Christmas show for Cambridge Junction in 2015 and Battersea Arts Centre in 2017), WE WANT YOU TO WATCH (by RashDash and Alice Birch, National Theatre and UK Tour, 2015).
