HOME are excited to announce that we will be overseeing 5 Film Academies for 16 - 19 year olds, in partnership with the British Film Institute. The North West Film Academies will run in partnership with FACT in Liverpool, Aunty Social in Blackpool, Touchstones in Rochdale and Signal Film & Media in Cumbria.
The North West Film Academy will be running 5 programmes across the region for young filmmakers and film enthusiasts.
Each academy will have the opportunity to work with industry professionals, attend practical and online workshops, meet new people and gain an insight into areas of the industry you might not even know existed. Each cohort will get the chance to make a short film which will be screened at HOME cinema in February 2025.
If this sounds like the programme for you, make sure you look into the academy closest to where you live.
Applications for each academy will open in the next few weeks, further details to follow very soon!
