Kickstart: Customer Service Administrator

Kickstart is a scheme for 16-24 year olds who are unemployed and on Universal Credit.

At HOME we work hard to provide a very supportive environment to all our staff, artists and customers. We offer a thorough induction, training and ongoing supervision and would expect that at the end of your paid placement we will have supported you to equip yourself with a wide range of skills and experience that will serve you well, not just for a job in the Arts but for lots of other roles too.

This role will involve working across all of our customer facing areas working with our busy Customer Service team. We will aim to give you as broad an experience as possible of all the various tasks our team undertakes. This will include working with colleagues in the Box Office, Shop, Cinemas, Theatres, Galleries and other public areas of the building

HOME will provide comprehensive training on every task you will be asked to undertake.

You will have regular meetings with your line manager and close day to day supervision provided by the team managers to ensure that you have all the support you need to make the placement a very successful one for you and HOME.
As well as on the job training, you will also be supported by wrap around training provided by The Factory Academy. This training will be a couple of hours, once a week (during your 25hrs of work), some workshops will take place in person and some virtually. The modules you will be covering include:
– Personal and Professional Development
– Digital
– Global Thinking and Sustainability.

Our Ideal Candidate

No qualifications or previous experience are necessary though a basic level of IT skills would be useful along with good communication skills and enjoying being in a busy environment meeting lots of different people.

An interest in films, theatre or art would be great but don’t worry if you’ve never been in HOME or any other arts venues before as during your time with us you’ll get to check out all the exciting things we do. We don’t expect you to start with any knowledge of our events or activities as you will learn about all of those when you are working with us..
