Kickstart: Campaigns and Events Assistant

Kickstart is a scheme for 16-24 year olds who are unemployed and on Universal Credit.

The Campaigns and Events Assistant is a brand new role which will sit within the Development (fundraising) team at HOME who raise money for the organisation through individual donors and members, businesses, grant funders (trusts and foundations) and events.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone new to fundraising or the arts to gain hands-on experience of building relationships, administration, fundraising and events planning.
You will spend your time working with the Deputy Development Director and Development Officer to create and launch donation campaigns both online and in our building, as well as assisting the whole team with the planning and delivery of HOME’s fundraising, corporate and stakeholder events.

As well as on the job training, you will also be supported by wrap around training provided by The Factory Academy. This training will be a couple of hours, once a week (during your 25hrs of work), some workshops will take place in person and some virtually. The modules you will be covering include:
– Personal and Professional Development
– Digital
– Global Thinking and Sustainability.

Our successful applicant will not need tonnes of experience working in the arts or an office environment, but the individual will be:
– A friendly and warm individual,
– Interested in working with people and in a team
– Organised and able to work to deadlines
– Able or comfortable talking to supporters over email, on the phone and face-to-face in a polite and professional manner
– Creative, can bring new ideas
– Keen and eager to learn more about arts
