Creative Venue Technician Apprenticeship

This Creative Venue Technician Apprenticeship is an opportunity to train for the role of a technician within the performing arts industry.

A Creative Venue Technician helps to set up, operate and remove technical equipment for theatre stages, in art gallery spaces, for cinemas and other performance spaces and events.

For this apprenticeship role we’re looking for someone aged 18 – 24 who is looking for an apprenticeship in the creative industries. You’ll need to have an interest in theatre, film and art and be keen to explore a career in the performing arts. You’ll also need to be interested in finding out more about the work HOME creates and presents.

As member of the Technical Team you will work to support touring shows who are visiting the venue, and companies we work with to create performances and events. In the role you would support the Technical and the Lighting, Sound and Video teams to help deliver the technical needs of a cross-art form venue.

The apprentice will be employed by HOME while the apprenticeship learning will be delivered by The Factory Academy in partnership with the National College of Creative Industries and Access Creative College

Duration: Full Time for 24 Months including 18 months experience and training, plus a six month assessment period
Weekly Wage: £174 – £328
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
