Creative Producer Development : Call-out

Deadline: Mon 29 July 12:00

HOME, The Lowry, Z-Arts and Stage One announce the first Creative Producer Development (CPD) course.

Greater Manchester based arts organisations; HOME, the Lowry, Z-Arts, with London based Stage One are calling out for applications for the first Creative Producer Development (CPD) course that will run throughout Autumn/Winter 2024.

CPD has been designed for early career independent producers, based in Greater Manchester who are committed and passionate about producing live. The organisations are keen to hear from freelance producers based across the region looking for time and space to interrogate and build on their experience and think about next steps of their career in producing live work.

Over 10 sessions, led by industry professionals, participants will take a deep dive into producing, looking at both the practicalities of the role and the culture and creativity behind producing.

At the end of the course, there will be an invitation to apply learning to a producing process, in a supported environment at either The Lowry, HOME, or Z-Arts.

About CPD

We recognise across Greater Manchester the lack of opportunities for producer development and the need for more support and networks for independent producers to grow their practice and develop relationships with organisations and artists.

Independent producers play a huge role in diversifying and invigorating the creation of new work across the region. We want Greater Manchester to be a place where creative producers can live and work and continue to build on our unique arts ecology.

We are piloting this programme to ensure early career producers feel confident and equipped to continue producing ambitious and innovative work.
