The recorded interviews took place with ex miners from Bradford Pit. Their stories convey the harsh working conditions and the camaraderie between fellow miners. This researched material allowed the Gorton Visual Arts Group Members to visually interpret imagery portrayed in the prints developed from the listened to stories and produce a collection of black and white work that aim to create a sense of time and place.
