JMK Director’s Group

We are working with the JMK Trust to offer early career directors free access to workshop and development opportunities as well as a chance to meet regularly with a group of peers to network and share ideas.

The JMK Trust was founded in memory of director James Menzies-Kitchin, and each year, the JMK Trust provides talented young and emerging theatre directors with awards, guidance and development opportunities.

The JMK Trust has also awarded a number of regional assistant director bursaries, funded by The Leverhulme Trust, enabling one member of each of their directors’ groups per year to assist on a production at their local venue.

Previous bursary recipients assisted on Javaad Alipoor & HOME’s production of Rich Kids: A History of Shopping Malls in Tehran in 2019, Rash Dash and Unlimited’s 2018 production of Future Bodies and Paul Auster’s City of Glass HOME Lyric Hammersmith 59 Productions in 2017.

This strand of work is currently under review but we hope to offer more in future.
