What’s on > What’s on in January

Happy New Year one and all!

January is officially underway, bringing a host of new films, theatre productions, exhibitions and events to get stuck into.

On our screens, Patrick Ness’ acclaimed novel is brought to life in A Monster Calls, Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams revisit the past in Manchester by the Sea, Damien Chazelle follows up Whiplash with brilliant melancholic musical La La Land, and Natalie Portman becomes the United States’ infamous former First Lady, Jackie.

In our gallery, there’s still time to visit Wot u :-) about?, the somewhat unsettling candy-coloured world of artist Rachel Maclean, and we’re unveiling our next HOME Project, Victoria Lucas’ Lay of the Land (And Other Such Myths) on the walls of our Granada Foundation Galleries.

We also welcome the return of PUSH Festival, our annual celebration of the North West’s most creative talent – taking over our stages, screens and public spaces for two weeks of the most exciting film, theatre and visual art from around the region.
