Barbara Wong is an actor, writer and director, with six feature films under her belt. This ambitious film, Wonder Women was designed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong’s handover. In doing so it follows the events in the life of Joy, played by Gigi Leung, as the major events of the decade – the Asian financial crisis and SARS for example – impact on her and those around her.
