Will Ferrell met Harper Steele in the mid-90s when they were both recruited to work on hit TV comedy Saturday Night Live – Will as a comic performer and Harper as a writer.
The pair went on to develop a successful creative partnership and a deep friendship over the next thirty years. Then, one day, Will received a letter from Harper informing him that his friend was coming out as a trans woman.
