This BBC television film showcases Rosenthal’s ability as an adaptor of work for the screen. Here working with the writer of the source novel Deric Longden (from his Diana’s Story), Wide Eyed and Legless is the moving story of a woman who when diagnosed with a degenerative illness decides to find her successor to help her husband through his loss.

Includes a screening of The Bag Lady, a 30 min episode of the ITV series About Face written by Jack Rosenthal which showcases the talents of Maureen Lipman as the lady of the title.
