Cox boldly subverts the historical epic with a nod towards Bu–uel in this political satire about the reign of Walker (Harris), a 19th century adventurer funded by a wealthy American to lead a band of mercenaries in an invasion of Nicaragua only to end up its president. With a sharp use of anachronistic images, Cox reinforces the parallels with then contemporary events. Soundtrack by Joe Strummer
