Set in Iran, this gently unfolding film, Land of Legends focuses on an amusing petitioner who is desperately seeking signatures he is planning to take to Baghdad. The film at times is comical as he will do anything to gain the much needed signatures, nevertheless it is clear to us that he is absolutely passionate about his mission. While on the road to Baghdad he finds himself running for his life with an unknown women and her small child across the harsh and unforgiving terrain of Kurdistan. We are touched and amazed at the lengths one human will go to in order to save another with the final scene illustrating this beautifully.
