With an atmospheric Velvet Underground soundtrack, this is a punky, quirky drama about a single mum, Blondi, and her teenage son, Mirko. With only 15 years age difference, they live, joke, smoke and party together in Buenos Aires, enjoying an incredibly close bond. But Mirko has confided in both Blondi’s sister, Martina, and mum, Pepa, that he wants to go to art school in Barcelona. Blondi is a childish adult, but never reckless; a teenager at heart, who would give everything for her family.
As writer, director and star of the film, acclaimed Argentinean actor Dolores Fonzi makes her directorial debut in style; she calls it “a comedy that hides a kind of utopia: new forms of family, more horizontal ties, learning from our children and the idea that parenting is a collective task.”
