TV in Memoriam: Utopia

Directed by Mark Munden

TV in Memoriam is a new feature of Pilot Light TV Festival dedicated to screening, celebrating and mourning TV shows that left us too early, with those who brought them into the world. The first show to be featured is Dennis Kelly’s Utopia. This beautiful, brutal and captivating British drama followed a group of people after they discover a graphic novel tied to a vast conspiracy and find themselves being tracked down by a merciless organization called ‘The Network’.

Despite universal critical acclaim, Utopia’s unique brand of conspiracy thriller only stayed on the air for two short seasons. Following it’s cancellation the show was briefly revived by David Fincher (Fight Club) and Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl) at HBO, until then dying again during development. Join us at we pay tribute to one of the best, most ambitious and unique British shows of the past decade.
