Over the span of three decades, Richard Williams’ The Thief and the Cobbler was the self-financed feature length project that took shape under the passionate drive and creative wit of the director working with some of animation history’s greatest names. Unreleased in the UK, and never completed to the satisfaction of Williams and the original team, this screening gives you the chance to witness the film, as it stood on the final day of production showcasing it’s ingenuity, imagination and ambition, confirming it’s legendary status among animation scholars and fans.
