The Stimming Pool

Directed by The Neurocultures Collective & Steven Eastwood

The Stimming Pool is an experimental – at times fantastical – hybrid feature film, co-created by a group of autistic artists, the Neurocultures Collective, and filmmaker Steven Eastwood.

The film’s narrative unfolds through an autistic camera, capturing diverse subjects as they navigate environments both challenging and comforting.

Characters, some concealing their autism, others thriving in their communities, share a common goal: finding a space free from societal norms – The Stimming Pool.

The Neurocultures Collective is made up of artists Sam Chown Ahern, Georgia Bradburn, Benjamin Brown, Robin Elliott-Knowles, and Lucy Walker.
