Rona, fresh out of rehab, returns to the wild Orkney Islands after more than a decade away. As she reconnects with the dramatic landscape where she grew up, memories of her childhood merge with the challenging events that have set her on the path to recovery. 

The feature adaptation of Amy Liptrot’s bestselling memoir of the same name, The Outrun stars Saoirse Ronan and has been adapted for the screen by Nora Fingscheidt, the multiple award-winning director of System Crasher.
