The Levelling

Directed by Hope Dickson Leach

A stunning debut feature by writer-director Hope Dickson Leach, (currently number 1 in Little White Lies‘ list of 25 must-see films by female directors) starring Ellie Kendrick (Game of Thrones) and David Troughton (Radio 4’s The ArchersDr Who).

Clover (Kendrick) returns to her family farm after the mysterious suicide of her brother, Harry. Against the backdrop of the floods that devastated her home, Clover confronts her estranged father, Aubrey (Troughton), attempting to uncover the truth. Shadowed by ill-remembered conflicts and unspoken regrets, the pair set out to heal their fractious yet still loving relationship.
