From the director of THE HAIRDRESSER’S HUSBAND, a modern romance whose characters are a bit worn round the edges. In this playful and often comic shimmering black and white fairytale, Gabor (the always wonderful Auteuil) is a middle-aged knife-thrower with neither partner nor job. Until he saves Adéle (Paradis) from killing herself and thus saves his act. Stung by too many disastrous romances, she agrees to become his target-assistant. But chance lends a hand and romance wins.
