Squaring The Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis)

Celebrated photographer, creative director and filmmaker Anton Corbijn’s first feature documentary Squaring the Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis) tells the story of Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey “Po” Powell, the creative geniuses behind the iconic album art design studio, Hipgnosis, responsible for some of the most recognisable album covers of all time.

From 1968 Hipgnosis worked tirelessly, always innovating and experimenting, their egos matching their talent and not always seeing eye-to-eye with each other or the bands.

Corbijn tells their unique story, a vital part of music history, with archive footage from the studio, the stunning art they created, and interviews from those who lived it including; Robert Plant, Roger Waters, Jimmy Page, Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel, David Gilmour and many more. Squaring the Circle is a document of egos, talent and creativity that will never be repeated.
