This gripping film set in the slums of Manila tells the intersecting stories of the city’s poorer inhabitants as the local elections approach, and it seems that everybody is after something. Using lightweight, and often hidden, cameras and filmed during the festival of San Nazareno, director Mendoza serves up another dose of his superb hyper-realist cinema. Winner of the Best Film and Best Director awards at the Singapore International Film Festival 2008.
