Explore the next generation of local filmmaking talent with two curated programs showcasing the work of graduate students from the School of Digital Arts, Manchester Metropolitan University. 

Join us as we celebrate the new creative voices emerging from Greater Manchester. 

Screening in this programme: 

Evidently Pigeontown(dir. Finn Mooney) – A psycho-geographic walk of shame. A critique on the city of Manchester through the sobering thoughts of a raver. 

Paid the Price(dir. Ainslie Senfuka) – Facing eviction and his mother’s alcoholism, fifteen-year-old Sam turns to theft to hold their fragile family together.

Bernard(dir. Eve Franckel) – A father and daughter confront deeply personal topics for the first time during an intimate camping trip to Scotland.

Seashore(dir. Dani Driver) – Two ex-lovers reunite unexpectedly and spend one last night together discussing their past relationship.

Never Forget to Say Goodbye(dir. Harry Woods) – During a power outage, a group of friends have some fun with a spirit box but things go catastrophically wrong.

Malon Fashion(dir. Ewan Hughes-Phillips) – Inside Lilith’s darkroom, guests merge frit with glamour to celebrate their self-expression.

Hermit(dir. George Brignall McDougall) – A man with agoraphobia who seeks his purpose by caring for others’ belongings finds himself entangled between two worlds.

Echelon(dir. Jennifer Masua-Zola) – While caring for her ill mother, an obsessive ballerina fights for her spot at the top within a prejudiced ballet company.
