Service Entrance

Directed by Philippe Le Guay

In this exuberant comedy, stockbroker Jean-Louis Joubert lives a peaceful yet boring bourgeois existence with his socialite wife in 1960s Paris. When a flock of exuberant Spanish maids moves into the sixth floor servants’ quarters, Jean-Louis’ world is turned upside down, particularly by beautiful Maria, whose irrepressible passion for life threatens to shake him from his staid foundation. A big-hearted delight not to be missed by any fan of world cinema. This screening will be introduced by Isabelle Vanderschelden, Senior Lecturer in French at Manchester Metropolitan University.

The previously advertised post-screening Q&A will not be taking place. The French Film Festival apologise for any inconvenience caused.
