Room 666

Directed by Wim Wenders

At Cannes in 1982, Wenders set up an unmanned camera in a hotel room and invited filmmakers to reflect on the future of cinema. The (maddeningly) uncaptioned interviewees include Godard, Spielberg and Fassbinder. But Herzog is the best (‘You can’t answer a question like that with your shoes on’) and Antonioni the most prophetic.
